It was a beautiful, sunny morning in downtown Laramie, the most picturesque beginning to the day for this Wyoming wedding. Cheyenne + Jesse had just finished a last-minute move across the country to the East Coast, so it was the perfect welcome back once they arrived for their wedding day.
Cheyenne + Jesse had met in college at University of Wyoming, both studying chemical engineering + subtly trying to catch the eye of one another. Jesse always waited for Cheyenne to turn in her exam before getting up to turn in his own, then “coincidentally” running into Cheyenne + walking back to the dining hall together. Cheyenne would go to the opposite end of the chemistry lab to use the same hot plate as Jesse + talk about anything that wasn’t chemistry.
Eventually, Jesse asked Cheyenne out to dinner at the university’s dining hall for their first date. Afterwards, they bundled up + walked through the light snow to a local coffee shop, strolling through the neighborhoods of Laramie with caramel lattes + ending up at a park to enjoy each other’s company.
After dating for 4 years, Jesse was ready to ask Cheyenne to marry him + had the idea to recreate their first date. He waited until they had the perfect evening snowfall, and led Cheyenne through the neighborhoods downtown just to wander to the same park where they ended their first date. Jesse got down on one knee, and Cheyenne said yes.
Once they officially said “I do” in front of all their family + friends, Cheyenne + Jesse shared some private vows in the presence of just one another.
After some first dances, toasts, and dessert, everyone headed outside for a backyard barbecue-style reception.
Jesse was recently accepted to a Master of Science in Computer Science program at Johns Hopkins, bringing them out to Maryland. They are both stepping into their next chapter of life with excitement + passion, now as husband + wife.
