Charlie & Justin

Justin was getting ready only a few miles down the street, excitedly awaiting seeing his bride.
As they both read letters from each other, it was as if Justin proposed yesterday at Banff National Park, on a tiny boat surrounded by ice blue water + mountains. Now, here they were, about to become husband + wife.

Their venue was a rustic winery on the river’s edge, and once Charlie arrived, she got to put on her dress.
…
Charlie made her way out to where Justin waited for her in the forest–emotions welled over the brim as they saw one another for the first time. They just wanted to hold each other for a long while, taking in every feeling.
Their crew came around them in jubilation, dancing in the sunshine as the ceremony was prepared.

At a spot where the river meets the tall yellow grasses + the tree branches hang low, Justin + Charlie made their promises of forever. Charlie’s sister + matron of honor, Max, stood beside her as Max’s husband, Matt, led them into marriage.
Having the wedding at a winery meant bottles were uncorked like there was no tomorrow, and wine flowed freely all day
–which is literally Charlie’s heaven on earth.

A live bluegrass band began the party as everyone gathered on the lawn with cocktails + polaroids.
Dusk fell over the winery while the two snuck out to the hidden woods for some newlywed time.
One of the most adorable details about Charlie + Justin is how they are so for each other–Justin choosing the wedding to be in Charlie’s hometown, encompassing her love for wine, and Charlie wanting Justin to have his fly fishing rod in some shots to show off his passion.
Back in the barrel room, toasts ensued while guests nommed some bbq + cupcakes.

Justin’s handmade twinkle-lights illuminated the dance floor + the most outrageous party took over the night.
During the father-daughter dance, Charlie invited her whole family up to remember her dad by dancing to what was his favorite song, “Maneater”.
Justin’s closest buds have a tradition of smoking cigars + belting out classics together, so everyone at the wedding got to witness their rendition of “Piano Man”…
Sparklers led the way to the end of the evening, and it was evident Charlie + Justin were the happiest people in the world at that moment. They are two people whose arms remain open to everyone, at all times, and they love the life they’ve created with a beautiful ease. They are so deserving of the most perfect day.
