Colorful Riverside Estes Park Wedding Full of Romantic Florals

On a perfectly cloudy, warm day in late July, Valerie + Matt’s Estes Park wedding day at the dreamy mountain getaway, The Landing.

Their story began one night when Val was hanging out with a girlfriend, and told her about a recent date she had. The friend suggested dating one of her friends, Matt, who was “a man of integrity with a great sense of humor and most importantly, the best southern accent”. Matt said he would be interested in going on a date with this beautiful friend Val, and one random Halloween evening text led to a whole bunch of dates.

And then COVID happened. It sped up what they describe as a “cocktail of trying events” that ultimately made them stronger + solidified the reasons they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together.

Fast forward another year, Matt surprised Val with a weekend getaway to a secret location, which he didn’t give away until they arrived in Salt Lake City. He told Val they were going to be playing with some puppies from a Bernedoodle breeder who still had a few pups available. They were also going to be photographed with all the puppies for the breeder’s website.

After they both decided on their favorite puppy (which, in fact, was the one Matt had already picked out months prior), Val turned around, and Matt was dropped down on one knee in the snow. With their perfect new buddy next to them, they both said yes to spending the rest of their lives together.

Now it was time to party, in one of the prettiest locations with all their best people at their side!

Down by the riverside overlooking the incredible view, the most romantic floral setup awaited everyone to take their seats + witness Valerie + Matt starting their forever, including Boulder.
