DARLING, YOU ARE ALL I EVER WANTED LOVE TO BE.
There are some romances that are sincerely inevitable; people can see in two strangers something extraordinary waiting to happen. And when they decide to bring together such a powerful force, a love begins + never ceases.
When Ben, the pastor of a church Rebekah + Justin both attended, saw the flicker of a spark between these souls, he couldn't ignore it. He didn't think they would fall in love, he just knew a rare friendship was in store for them. And we all know what that leads to.
Within a few months after Ben had introduced the two, Justin told Ben this was his forever woman. He proposed a year and a half later, and after a two-month engagement, these two are married + off to serve our country in the Marines!
Guests arrived in the morning's sunrise light to the venue, Rockland Community Church, where the Rocky Mountains kiss the outskirts of Denver. The day began warm and sunny despite the snowy surroundings.
The bridal suite was filled with a rushing of excitement + putting on finishing touches + joyful tears. One of the best ways to personalize a wedding + make each detail sentimental is do-it-youself projects! Rebekah handmade the bridesmaid's bouquets, corsages, and all centerpieces.
After Rebekah had helped all her bridesmaids with their dresses while she was in sweats, all of them adorned her to walk down the aisle. It was a picture into the depths of Rebekah's heart; to make sure everyone is helped before she even got ready for her own wedding. THAT is the beauty of her heart.
The two joined hands in prayer around a corner with three minutes to go before their ceremony.
The bride's father came in for a first look, and prayed with his wife + daughter for the marriage about to unfold.
Everything was ready. The bride was filled with the most contentment + delight in her heart. It was time for the ceremony to begin.
No one was yawning this morning; everyone was filled with laughter, a theme of this wedding. All throughout the ceremony, the pure presence of Justin + Rebekah invited guests to be lifted + rest into ease. The very man who introduced the two was invited to officiate their wedding.
When you're in the mountains, you have to accomplish adventurous feats. This meant that although all the ladies were in stilletos, we were going to take a trip down the mountainside to get the view in all its glory.
This is the kind of love one takes refuge in. The kind of love that's secure in a two-month engagement. The caliber of self sacrifice that honors every single detail of the other. The beauty that we sometimes believe is possible in a love story.
We headed over to the reception at Mount Vernon Country Club, where guests indulged in a breakfast buffet + glasses of mimosas were raised.
Who run the dance floor?
If you attended the farewell, you know a few more details that made this exit one of the most memorable of any weddings! Nonetheless, the couple left in a moving van + roadtripped to their new home in California, at the marine base.
Rebekah + Justin, the easiness of your love is a constant, alleviating others + creating a space for peace in a sometimes bitter world. It was a gift in the works longer than we will know.
